Joint School in China 

Joint School established without legal person status are built within or attached to an existing Chinese institution. Also known as a ‘campus-on-campus’ model, these institutions offer a number of different courses.  

The approvals process for these institutions at the undergraduate and above levels is the same as for joint institutions established as independent legal entities.

 There are several advantages to the Joint School model, however. These institutions bring top foreign and Chinese local universities together, facilitate East-West communication, and pioneer a globally diverse study experience for Chinese students and their international counterparts. Joint School also bring a world-class educational experience into the Chinese education system and increase the diversity of the higher education student body in China. Joint School  is an important bridge if a student is interested in studying abroad .

By providing classes in English, and by exposing students to foreign textbooks, curriculum, and teachers, cooperative universities are able to bring foreign university classrooms onto Chinese campuses. These institutions produce global citizens that are more internationally aware, and add critical talent to contribute to local economic and business growth. Joint School are also a great transition hub connecting local Chinese students to a more expansive study abroad experience.

In this kind of partnership, the university abroad sets up an international college at the premises of the Chinese university, this college offers International English-taught courses that are taught and managed by the university abroad.

- Professors can come from the university abroad or can be provided by Global CBE. - The Global CBE manages the student recruitment and enrolment process. - Revenues from this college are shared between the Both parties.
